Today's Status: Indian Stock Market Closed

Consequently, trading activities at both the BSE and NSE will be suspended today. Despite the rating agency Fitch downgrading its outlook for China, the Indian stock market ended on a positive note on Wednesday, driven by strong global market sentiments. Among the three frontline indices, the Nifty 50 and bank Nifty, two key benchmark indices, reached new peaks in the previous session. The Nifty 50 index closed at its highest-ever level, finishing 111 points higher at 22,753. The BSE Sensex gained 354 points and ended at the level of 75,038. The bank Nifty index also recorded a significant increase, finishing 256 points higher at 48,986 and reaching a new peak of 49,057.
